Sustain deficiency

I've got a knock-off Tele Thinline, Ash body, burl ash top and maple neck/fretboard. I turned it into a rear route, T.O.M. string through H-H guitar. I put the GFS professional unpotted humbuckers in it. The bridge is 8.2k A2 5mm from the strings, the neck is 7.6k A5 7mm from the strings. The guitar sounds awesome but sustain sucks, the notes die in 5-6 seconds. I can't imagine the string pull would be that much, but I have been wrong before. Any ideas on why it wont hold a note?

The action is probably medium.

The neck and bridge are both very tight.

No fret buzz.

The last picture is a bit fuzzy but it's the 12th fret.
