Yeah, JJ's are really good tubes as well, plus they're cheaper.
In my Ecstasy, I use the JJ EL-34's, and the gain stages have GT12AX7Cs.
I use JJ ECC-83's for the clean channel, FX driver, and Phase Inverter positions.
That amp is dialed in perfectly.
I find that JJ EL-34 quartets sound great in 100W amps, while the JJ E-34L duets sound best in 50 watters, since they have more output than regular EL-34's. They're still interchangeable, although the bias may need to be knocked up a bit for the E-34Ls
