Swapping 57 Classics in Les Paul Elegant

I have been trying to sell my Elegant but am considering keeping itunplugged, it has a very full, loud, and bright tone. Plugged in through my Allston amps (bright dumble type), it has a very bright and cutting tone in the bridge and lacks a little low end for me. The neck tone is a little too bright and fells hollow in the miss. I'm looking to get more lows and mids in the bridge and a smoother and middy tone in the bridge. Keep in mind the Elegant is chambered, has an ebony board and maple top.im also considering replacing the pots with 50s scheme and bumble bees.i do have a WLH set laying around. Styles: blues, jazz, rock, fusion, neo soul and country pop.

The hotter WLH should solve the brightness problem, and hey, you already have them, so I would start there. If you were starting from scratch, I'd suggest the Alnico II Pro in the neck, and a Custom Custom in the bridge. Both pickups should fill in some of that brightness. But I always start with what I have.

lol I've actually been on SDUGF since perhaps 2007, under name BluesGuyJ. I hadn't been on in a while and forgot my PW and had to make a new account lolI've got a USA Dean SOltero that is all mahogany, ebony board, chambered, and loaded it with a roughcast Custom 5 and 59 A4. My other Gibson SG is from the early 70s and has TTops in it. I am hoping to get this LP a little closer to those tones, but different. Right now, it's just way too bright. Ill try messing with pickup heights, but will still be looking for that bit of extra low end.
