Swapping Out Slide Switches

Hi all~ I need to replace the SPDT sliders, & I picked these up, and wanted to know how to wire up the new ones. Hopefully the pics show you what you need to know. They're simple on/off switches. How do I check for continuity?

Thanks in advance.

Center lugs should be common, so put one probe on the center lug and touch the outside lug based on the current switch position.

Thnx, but look at the new switches with 4 lugs, with 2 bent over by the manufacturer, according to the seller... I'm certain I'll figure it out, not having too many choices to probe, but looking for a quick fix....

The "New" one looks like 6 lugs with 2 cut off and the center damaged, rather than from the factory like that. Your 'old' ones are SPDT and the new one appears to be DPDT, but set up to be on-off instead of on-on. But the "New" one is the same in terms of connections - the center pair are common. The end lugs are the 'selectable' lugs. I don't know why you need to test that switch - it only has one setting. Put the switch to the end with the lugs and you should get continuity from center to end lugs. (Note they are completely separate sides of the switch, so common left will get continuity with left end lug, and commin right will get continuity with the right end lug.)
