Swedish Death Metal tone

It is a good trick. It will sound thumpy and lo-passed like you're outside a club and there's a band playing. Blend it in phase and compress it a little and it certainly packs a punch.

Jeez been a while since I’ve seen you here but yet it really does pack a punch also I love the sound of my HM2 stacked with the gain of my Engl to get a super thick and fizzy Gothenburg tone.

Parallel to that was the Burns Morrisound-sound. You know, Exhorder's "Vatican", Beneath The Remains, Suffocation, Death (symbolic/human.) What was that? Some say valvestate, some say 5150.

Pretty sure the 5150 was not out at the time of most of those. Machine Head was one of the first to use it as I recall (burn my eyes).

True, not sure why I thought it was. I know CC used solid state ampeg, there was a crate which was essentially the same that some of those bands used. I'll ask around.

You may get just what you're looking for in this little box, it's not just a gimmick, this pedal delivers.



Seems like you can get them for like 30 bucks these days.
Just my humble 2 cents worth.

That (or others as well) paired up with a simple EQ pedal for even more dialing can go a long way for what they are for the price.

well i've been fine tweaking a little and think right now it sounds better, i'm triying to dial in a bit more attack without getting harsh, will post sound clips this week
