Wow...that's nice to know. I think I have it sounding/feeling pretty great right now though ..I'm even going to stick with the stock cap :bigthumb:

Some moderate VH style whammy abuse for a bit of fun...

The surface mounting with the Floyd Special works great once you have it set up well.. There's quite a bit of space for both diving & pulling up. The tuning's is absolutely perfect. Very stable. :bigthumb:

The only thing I might do is swap in some .047 PIO caps. Not that the Guitar is bright at all, I'd say it's pretty well balanced across the spectrum ....it's just that for me personally I'm used to those caps and it gives me a feel I'm familiar with & like..a little more "squish" to the notes..

Those wolfgang are not bright, right. But now that I have both models with two different necks I can say that the special is brighter than the standard

I like the way mine sounds...neither too dark or too bright & with pretty nice thick mids..especially with the selector switch in the middle (both pups selected..)

Mine is one of the few HH guitars I have where the middle position gets used more than the other two

When you say SH-11n, you are referring to a custom custom mounted in a neck slot or to a specific model?
