Haha yeah its either duncan ssl5's just beacuse ive been wanting to try them for ages...or fralins! Think im leaning towards the fralins though ;)

But the dimarzios should suffice for the time being while i take care of more pressing issues like the pickups in my les paul which i still havent replaced :smack: Those will be duncans ;)

Can't wait to get it though :D

Strats didnt used to be my taste either...until i got more into SRV...then i just had to have one :D

Try the Dimarzio's, you might like them. I had almost the same set ( VV 54 in middle) in my strat and really enjoyed them.

Cool. I'm sure you'll dig that neck much better than the Fender Jap reissue.
The pickups are probably decent, but I'd probably sell that pearl guard/DiMarzios
and get a prewired Antiquity II Surfer set with the Custom Surfer bridge 9.7
Black knobs and covers on aged white or mint guard.

The mint guard sounds like a good idea...and i was definitely thinking about going for "black" pickup colours.

What do you guys think about possibly a set of burns tri-sonics with the prewired pickguard from plexi palace? Just a thought.

Other than that, im pretty keen to go for some fralins.

Will do for sure, it'll be a while before i dumb em out anyway so ill have plenty of time to really see what they can do. They're supposed to be nice pickups anyway.

I really liked the VV's. And I'd go with an mint green guard and aged pickup covers and knobs, just cause anything that looks vintage is awsome.
