YOU Need A Les Paul

Re: YOU Need A Les Paul

My burst lp is my #1 guitar. #2 is the k-line strat pictured, and a close #3 is my brown lp special, pictured next to the strat

Got a set of antiquities. Honestly, i was not way impressed by them until recently. I tried a/b-ing them with the stock ones after installation and honestly didn't hear much of a dif at all. I mainly played on my strat after the swap. I tried the burst again a couple months ago, tweaked some things, and i noticed the somewhat "honky" quality of the stock humbuckers was no longer there. Yeah, though, it is the guitar i want next to my casket. Lol. I don't want it burried with me but i feel a very special relationship to that guitar, and want to be associated with it forever. :). It was gifted to me at a time i was very sick. Looking forward to it helped get me through a really tough time. It is like an old friend. Played it at my sisters wedding.

Formula's Lester looks like it was used as a weapon in a violent assault. I love that freaking ax. It sounds like a monster.

With crappy old unpotted stock Pat sticker t tops, no less lol

Pardon the low volume-family’s home on a Sunday morning. I’m always shocked how far phone mics have come.

There just something off-putting in the design for me. Good strat feels like a great piece of engineering. LP doesn't, it's just a piece of equipment.
Funny because I feel the totally opposite: LP is great piece of engineering and Strat has just been designed by a hobbyist.
PS: I have 1x LP and 2x Strats
