Sweet new addition...

I'll cut a long story short. Back in the day, around '81, my first real amp was an original '65 JTM45. Like a chump I sold it for the latest new thing which was a solid state amp. A few years ago I had a JTM45 reissue which sounded great but I had to let loads of nice gear go and I sold it to Stevie Bees. I knew I'd get another and whilst I know these aren't hand wired I think they sound pretty close, so last week I got me this one in my second favourite tolex colour after white and a nice touch is that it's been signed by the man himself! Happy days......

Funny you should mention the matching cab, I had a Hendrix RI a few years back to that I had to sell along with my white 1987 head........ :crying:

(Nice)². Love the look of those old Marshalls, not to mention the tone. Cool colour and the signature, what more could you want?

Re: Sweet new addition...

So nice. I was just about to call dibs if/when you sell, but remembered shipping and 220V.

I've had about 3 Plexis, and wish I still had my best one.

Re: Sweet new addition...

Is that stock? I know they put out the Hendrix ones in purple--came super close to buying a whole stack brand new for $2500, but got the white anniversary half instead. Even if its not, that is damn fine! Congratulations. I loved my 45 reissue but like you, had to sell everything I owned a short while ago.

Re: Sweet new addition...

Cheers guys.

Joe, these amps have adjustable voltage so that wouldn't be a problem..... But I've really bought it for one of my lads. The cab in the OP photo is an old 72/73 cab that is in really great condition and loaded with 2 old G12h30's and 2 G65's bought off Aynsley Lister and it really suits this amp. My other son can have the silver jubilee combo with the Marshall HWA 4x 12... Unless I can find him a nice marshall head! :laugh2:
