Sweet new clip!!! best improv yet, IMO

Re: Sweet new clip!!! best improv yet, IMO

Soundquality is good mate. Put some reverb on the lead guitar and you're set.

Indeed I also think it's your best improvisation and as always the threads are funny :D

Now, a compressor would help to get an even sound when you play and to prevent clipping. Do you have a compressor and a reverb plug in? Try some compressor settings like, threshold around -18, ratio 6:1 or so, attack 10ms and release 70ms, gain around 0dB

k, i do have a compressor. i put the compressor on at audacity, cuz i didn't want to whip the real one out, but it didn't work entirely

i forgot about reverb...

which order should i do it in? reverb first?

I don't know..in a pedal chain you have a comp usually in the beginning but in the sound edit process it would make some sense to do comp it later since the reverb changes the signal a bit first and the comp can work with this signal better (does it make sense?)

Don't over-do the reverb, 1,5 sec. with a mix of 15% I'd start..but it's always a question of taste.

Try it and post it if you like, I'm curious how it will sound!

i didn't like the reverb or the compressor...made it sound unnatural

Re: Sweet new clip!!! best improv yet, IMO

Maybe the ratio is to high, try 3:1, attack 15ms and release 100ms

Didn't work it out?

Perhaps I told you some wrong parameters or you aren't a post production guy =)
