"Sweet White Wine" ... basic video *SPLAWN CONTENT*

I was sitting at the PC, drinking a bottle of Riesling, and tab'ing out my guitar lessons for the week, when I decided to pop up the digital camera and shoot a quick clip of me soloing over a basic backing track I made for one of my students.

The challenge: Since we've only covered the notes on the 4th - 6th strings and the C Major scale, as well as some chord progressions, I limited myself to those notes when cutting the video to see what melodic possibilities are open.

This is 100% improvised, so I apologise in advance for any choppiness in the playing. Also, the vid is dark. Sorry, but metal households aren't very well-lit! The skulls of your enemies can only fit one candle each! :evil:

Great chops and phrasing, as usual. I'm really interesting in achieving that tone, but I only have $3,000. Would you recommend I buy the Splawn head, or 200 Blind Guardian t-shirts?

I didn't enjoy this clip as much as I enjoyed the others. Of course that might be because you're constrained to a limited amount of notes. Taking that in mind, you did a hell of a lot.

The Cold Sweat is brilliant.
It pushes the amp into total old school distortion. It sits right in the middle of the range between the VHII (early VH, early Iron Maiden) and the Miracle Man (late 80s style metal sound).
The Cold Sweat in the alder body, to me, is pure Defenders of the Faith era Priest tone!!
