switchcraft jacks

i just changed out a perfectly fine jack in my tele to a switchcraft jack with an electrosocket plate. for a $12 upgrade it sure made the connection better (cable is held in tighter) and the jack itself is more stable thanks to the electrosocket plate.

Anyone else notice a difference (improvement) over the stock jacks? or was i just looking for something little to mod on my favorite guitar?

My leads came stock with switchcraft heads.

I like em for 3 reasons

1) they're high quality and look clean and neat (no big plastic square around the jack)
2) the recessed metal cup allows you to fumble around on stage a little and not scratch your gorgous finish
3) they're flush mount (acutall recessed), but unlike some recessed/flush jacks (which i learned the hardway) you can adjust the tnesion of the jack so it still holds your 4lb wireless unit even after the 100th gig
(like i said - learned the hard way)

I love 'em. Switchcraft is the gold standard when it comes to jacks, IMO.

yup, switchcraft is where it's at. I dig the gold contact jacks.. i may not hear a huge difference... but it looks SEXY :laugh2:

I agree, switchcraft jacks and ends are phenominal. I can really tell the differance. Those little top end pieces are what make guitars great, imo. If you got a squier, put duncans, CTS pots and a switch craft in it, it'd be a bodacious sounding ask.

This is exactly why I'm using the electrosocket for a guitar that I'm currently building. Figured I'd give it a try. I like the looks of it already and I only have the body in later stage of the build.
