honestly, i never had any type of midi dely in my setup- i use a GI-10 into a roland xv5050 live as well as a bunch of softsynths for recording. there simply isn't any delay there.
you also have to make sure you play very cleanly, as well as spend time setting up your guitars and midi system for your style of playing.

well, not quite like a regular guitar would. when playing with a synth, you need to study the phrasing and the range of the instruments you emulate. sloppy playing results in mistracking, which is not pretty. at the very best then, you can sound like a terrible keyboard player.

I'm really itchin' for payday so I can start gettin all the stuff together. I have a lot that needs to be done to my guitar so I'm going to have the routing and everything else done all at once. I appreciate all the responses, you guys have been a HUGE help.
