Other option for the neck and middle would be the STK-S6, Custom Stack.

I have custom stack in the neck now and a vintage stack in the middle

If the Custom Stack in the neck is too bright, throw a 500k resistor across that volume pot, bringing it to 250k, and see if that helps.

FWIW, I indeed swapped out the 59/C for the Dimarzio 36th (DP223) in my SD22 and it solved all my odd frequency anomalies. I have the 36th paired with two SSL2 and the guitar is very balanced now.

As great as the 59/C is, it is not a good match in this maple bodied guitar. YMMV of course

I put the project aside for the moment and put the stock pickups back in. But I am thinking next to try either a DD or a 36th
