take off on other Dumble thread.

so, after doing some research and reading the "DUMB in Dumble" thread, I have come to find that FUCHs makes really good amps that capture the Dumble overdrive very well. But, what I wanna know is who makes a good amp that captures the 150-watt Dumble "Steel String Singer." They have no overdrive section and supposedly you can turn the volume all the way up and they wouldn't distort. :wrf:

Are there any clone/ knock-offs of these?

Re: take off on other Dumble thread.

After starting the DUMB in DUMBLE thread, I too did a little homework, and found that Two Rock makes pretty good Dumble clones.

Re: take off on other Dumble thread.

+1 on the Two Rock, Mayer uses those in his set up and they sound fantastic.

Re: take off on other Dumble thread.

wow. I checked out the Two Rock site and I was very impressed. There were some very notable names on the artist page as well. But when I was thinking clone/knock-off I was more or less thinking of something a little less expensive, or maybe I am setting my standards too high and my budget too low. With the prices those guys are asking, I might as well save for a Dumble.

Re: take off on other Dumble thread.

Kyle I am really sorry bro. This is what you get after hanging out with me. I will just go ahead and apologize for all of your future amp purchases while I am at it.

Re: take off on other Dumble thread.

There are a lot of good "clones" out there.....check with Jeremy aka Germ aka LastwinJ on the Forum here.

If he can't hook you up, I'm sure he can steer you in the right direction :bigthumb:

Also, check www.ampgarage.com there's a guy named AllynMey that is a BRUTALLY talented builder :beerchug:

Re: take off on other Dumble thread.
