There wasn't a ton of choice in aftermarket pickups back then. The DMZ was one of the earliest aftermarket pickups out there.

you know i never looked at it that way!:fing2: I was not even born when this thing was at its peak and dont know what was even around back then, but if i had been around i would have opted for the duncan JB anyday over that dimarzio:bowdown:

I was around back then and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I put a JB in the strat that had a DimSD in it before.

I'm a big DiMarzio fan, but I've never been a DimSD fan.

the DD is a chicken fried steak - Meaty, crunchy, delicious.

The Super Distortion is a 2 inch thick 72 oz. slab of cow - Thick, beefy and juicy.
