Who here has ever used one of these? I just got one off of eBay and I don't think it's working properly. I don't have a User Manual nor can I find one. My model (yellow with red text) appears to only work if the Fuzz is ON. When you turn the Fuzz OFF (which turns the entire pedal OFF because the other effects are dependent on the Fuzz) I lose my entire signal!!!! Gone!!!! This can't be right!!!! I have read bad reviews on HC about the switches being cheap and dying. Could this be caused by a bad switch? I opened it up and everything is mounted to the PCB and I'd have to remove the switches to get an actual look at it which I haven't done yet. Has anyone had to replace there switches on these (3PDT?)?
So my real question is: does this pedal have to be ALWAYS on to be in your chain? Am I going to have to buy an A/B box to remove it from my chain when I don't want fuzz?
Another question... Are the OCTAVE and SWELL modes mutually exclusive? You can only have one on at a time? That is how it's presently working but I have no way to verify if that's correct.
Review: As far as the pedal goes it sounds pretty good. You HAVE to search for that sweet spot. There are many chaotic (not useable) tones that spew at you while your in between sweet spots, but when you find one it sounds pissah!!! Unfortunately the sweet spot for each of the effects require changing the settings so it's not convenient to switch from one to the other in a Live setting.
