Hello. Still fighting with my ssl-5

Ok here it goes. In the seymour duncan webpage you can find dc resistance and peak resonance for both tapped and full. That must mean you can switch your pup for both percentage. Other single coils have three wires for comming out (earth,tapped,full). But the ssl-5 only have two, so...

How can I use the tapped percentage of my pup?? :scratchch
Im willing to take it appart just for the sake of learning.

I could be wrong but I think there are two separate versions of the pickup - tapped and untapped. It sounds like you have the untapped version.

Simon is right. The tapped version is the SSL-5T.
BTW i think the tapped sound is too thin - its thinner sounding as a SSL-1. I would have like to shave off 10% or 20%.

Most of these come in untapped and tapped.

Usually when I get them they are untapped :)

You need to get another SSL-5, order the tapped version, it will have an exra wire and then you just wire it up wiht a push puill pot or mini toggle...

It's funny...I ordered my SSL-5 tapped and have no yet bothered to wire it up tapped...it sounds so good full on I leave it!
