If you can't play a Martin, try stamp collecting.

How did you know i was a philatelist?
Taylor for me (314 ltd, maple back and sides, about 10 years old with fishman) works great acoustic and plugged in with a whole band.
I also have liked the martins i have played, never played one of the nicer gibsons.

IMHO . . . there is NO other acoustic guitar Co. other than Martin !

Martin's are my faves, then Gibson- that's for 6-strings.
For 12-strings I'll take a Guild.
Fave wood is Mahogany, followed by Maple & then very closely behind that Rosewood.

I own a Taylor 310ce, and it's phenomenal. A friend owns a Larivee, and it's also fantastic. I've also played a Tacoma jumbo that was awesome. There's good to be had in all the quality brands.

My D18 will be a lifelong partnership. Just remember to keep the humidity temp thing to about 46/70.

Haha... For the record I am currently very happy with my one Martin. (Although for the record there was a Gibson, a Taylor and a second Martin all competing for my money. A great acoustic is just that! )

Yep, when push comes to shove - one really good acoustic is all you need. I'd love to have a couple different ones myself, but my 000-15M works for the stuff I play and fits the budget. I'd still love a Gibson J-45 True Vintage though, and a D-28, and a....
