TB-5 as a PATB?

I'm seriously considering having a Custom wind done on the PATB platform. I'm assuming that MJ could dial the Costom tone in on that platform. For those who have had custom shop pickups made, did you get what you were looking for?

Have you tried the PATB 1 already. To my ears that had many of the Custom tonalities.

Yes. I currently have one in my Charvel, and I really like it. I’m also a huge fan of the Custom. Was just curious.

I find the PATB-1 mixes character from the Cuatom and the JB. If you want to try a PA with a ceramic magnet, why not try a PATB-2?

Sure did , I had her wind me the PATB-3 but on the standard screw/slug bobbins . FWIW it was on Tremspaced bobbins . That was about 10 yrs ago but it was very nice hot PAF type pickup .

MJ can do it. She nailed my Custom Shop order. Those girls and guys know what they are doing. Quick question..why not just use a Custom?

Mainly cosmetic. I have a PATB-1 set in the guitar now. Just wanted the Custom tone while keeping the cosmetic vibe. Lol.
