hi
so ive decided to change my pickups cuz theyre the only really ****ty element in my guitar ( the neck is great, the bridge trem is ok , tuning stability meh...)
after some research, decided to go with the Duncan Distortion Trembucker (TB6) and was wondering if there'd be any technical issues with the magnets and stuff like that,im new to this stuff...
not looking for a kill switch or coil tap or anything like that btw

and what are your opinions on my pickup choice?i want a high output pickup for rythm metal playin, but on standard and drop d tuning, and i dont like the invaders , any recommendations for other pickup models in the same price range?

The Distortion is a good choice. It's heavy but still a bit classic. Hot but clear. There are some other good hot pickups that aren't all sloppy like the invader but you can't go wrong with the distortion. It's ceramic so it has a lot of bite to it and kind of dry too which I like. But it's different than alnico.

Distortion is a good choice for your needs and the music you play. The Custom (TB-5) could also be a good choice. There are other Seymour Duncan pickups that are good choices, but most of them are more expensive than the TB-6 and TB-5, so I leave them out because you asked for something the same price as a TB-6.
If you install a Seymour Duncan humbucker, it will be most likely out of phase with the middle single coil you currently have in there, but that problem is easily fixed by reversing the phase of the SD pickup, by simply switching the black and green wires on the SD pickup. In other words if it sounds out of phase in position 4, you'll need to use the green wire as the hot (going to your 5-way switch) and the black wire together with the bare wire to ground.

Welcome to the forum!

The Distortion is probably the one you want. It is easily available, and is capable of a lot of great distortion sounds. Other choices( which might be harder to find/more expensive) would be the Alternative 8 and the Pegasus.
