TB4 outer holes not threaded

Hi All,
New to this forum, i use SD pickups for years now.
I've received a used TB4 to install on my Vigier to replace the TB5.
Unfortunately, only the inner holes are threaded. I've checked and there is no thread in the holes that could have been covered with wax.
So I need a thread tap to make a thread in the holes. I already tried with the screws but I was successful in damaging the head but not creating a thread.
Can you tell me what is the metric equivalent to create the thread in the holes?

Thank you for your help!
Nico

welcome to the forum!

the outer holes are never threaded on trembuckers. im assuming you have a tap and die set to cut the threads? the screws are 3-48 thread, so i think M2.5 would be the closest, but not exactly the same. id get some M2.5 screws and tap the outer hole for that size

Also, I don't think the outer holes usually line up with the 2+1 mounting on some guitars. At least they didn't on a few I tried.
