TC electronic for fx loop? effects help!!

Help!! I'm looking for a decent delay / reverb unit for my fx loop into my 5150 head.

Anyone heard one of the TC Electronic Nova System before? How do they compare to say, the G Major or the G Force or even the G-system?


So far I've tried:

Digitech s100 - 18bit AD/DA (this really sucks tone but okay delays)

Boss VF-1 - I really wanted to like this unit, but no mater what I tried, all the effects seemed so artificial and fake sounding, even with the 24bit AD/DA.

I'm thinking a couple of Boss/Line 6 pedals might do the trick, but someone told me that pedals are meant for 'guitar level signals' and not really 'line level signal' which is what the fx loop is. Is that correct?

Suggestions? I just want something that doesn't suck my tone and sounds half decent.

i have the TC Nova Delay pedal. I was really fussy about having a great pedal, but also one that didn't lose or change my precious guitar sound (spent too much time and money on guitars, pickups and hardware to want to throw the sound away with a pedal). I am here to tell you, the TC is the real deal.....fantastic sounds (analogue, digital and tape) without changing the guitar's sound one little bit. The input level can be pre-set to your choice.

I can't compare it to the other TC systems, but i would hazard a guess the electronics are the same or very similar. I have never heard a poor piece of engineering from TC, and the few people i encounter with TC items *never* part with them.

This pedal is not cheap, but.....brilliant sound, silent and does not suck tone. AND....it is probably the last delay pedal you will ever need or want to buy.

Wanted to bump this and see what the reviews are regarding the TC Nova system since its been out for a while? Bad and good reviews....
