TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

Guys,
this pedal is amazing as owners already know. The Tone print thing is way over the top. I love the hell out of it. I can go on the APP on my iPhone , find the sound I want from who I want it from and then in seconds down load it right into the Pedal from my Guitars pickups. Thats CRAZY!!!!!! I'm SO into it.

On a side note its one hell of a reverb pedal. TC electronics Impress me every time I try or buy one of their pedals. They are truly amazing and this tone print is incredible. Now I want their delay pedal with Tone print. Who has one of those?

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

I have one, but I haven't used it much. I went through a phase where I bought a bunch of pedals without leaving myself time to use them. I did manage to dial in a slap-back echo that was pretty close to the Danelectro on my mini board.

Yup - get into the toneprint editor and it goes to an even higher level!

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

I have the regular flashback. The editor & some of the toneprints available are awesome. I found the default tape, lofi, 2290 to be great. I'm using the toneprint slot for chorus toneprint, it gives me a chorus pedal in place of the delay if needed.

Didn't like the stock mod setting, too fast a rate for me with too much depth. Good thing the editor allows me to create a mod delay to my liking. However I use the stock tape mode most often since i like it so much. If you jumper the R (out) into L(in), use the remaining in/out for main signal & set the subdivision to third setting, you get a series dual delay setting happening kind of like andy timmons delay setup.

It doesn't do a good self ocsilation thing like a proper analog delay though, there are toneprints titled for it but they didn't sound good enough for me.

The ipad has the editor app while iphone & android apps have only the transfer app for artist toneprints i think.

On a side note the digitech obscura is another digital delay to check out, liked what I've heard so far.

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

I have the full size in the loop of my Jet city. Great Reverb, many great options. I may not be a big reverb guy, but i love using a small bit of it on my clean and crunch sounds.

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

Once you get into custom Toneprints created on your computer it's even better. My little mini HOF goes from subtle verb, to long plate to over the top modulated 2001 space odyssey verb with the twist of the single knob.

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

I have a Flashback Delay & Looper. Mindblowingly good and versatile, worth every cent in my opinion. And I thought the looper feature would be just an additional feature... but it's fully functional and hell of a fun - now I regret I have to pick between it and the delay mode :D

TC Electronic's stuff is great. I'm going to buy HOF in upcoming months to stack right next to my RV-5.

PS First time I "beamed" a TonePrint, I felt like a magician. Can't be the only one?!

I'm gonna down load it today. What a wonderful world we live in today with so many tool available to use to customize our tone. I absolutely love this pedal and Now want them all.
I would LOVE to see TC Electronic come out with a replacement G System Multieffects unit with Toneprint. Think about that for a minute. They release a Toneprint for each Pedal used inside the new G system Tone Print model and you can customize each tone to your own liking with a little help from people building these killer tone prints. I'm SO WAY IN!!!!.

Not to mention I'm so impressed with the quality of sound TC Electronics pedals make. They are wonderful in every single way. I'm totally in. I'm a old guitar player who started in the 70's who used MXR DOD BOSS back then and today the market is so rich with options. Amps and effects are crazy.
Guitar wise I'm still stuck in the 80's as I'm a huge Charvel guy. Actually Jackson and ESP as well but my main guitars are 3 Charvels.

I'm gonna write TC a letter requesting a new G system unit with Tone Print. This technology is crazy. I can't believe how damn fast it works. In just seconds you have a totally setup pedal that just might be exactly what your looking to do without having to spend hours dialing it in. Even if you did the quality of Reverbs this thing produces is completely amazing. I thought BOSS was great at reverbs, I think TC might just be a tad better. Just my opinion of course we all like what we like.

So JUICED OVER HERE!!!! I love new toys.

Seriously? I find it to be amazing. We all have what we like to hear. Try the Boss Reverb. I heard it's fantastic.

Yeah man, mine lasted about a month before I re-sold it. IMHO I thought it was kinda "PHONY" sounding & the Tone Print was too much of a hassle to really dig into for me? I've owned 5 different Reverb pedals in the past couple years. There was that, a late 90's Holy Grail, a Holy Grail Neo, a DigiTech Polara Reverb, & a Mad Prof. Sliver Spring. The only one I don't still have in my toolbox is the TC, I've kept or replaced in some cases, the rest...

The T.C. HOF was the only one out of them all that I couldn't just set & forget? It's not an awful stomp box by any means and I'm sure if I didn't have anything else to use I could make it work. It's just personally I'd take a pedal that does one or two different Reverbs really, really, well over one that does 30 of them kinda "just okay"...

The Sliver Spring is by far the best & most natural sounding Reverb I've ever owned followed by the 90's Holy Grail. The Holy Grail Neo was cool but it could get a bit overwhelming sometimes & to some extent the Polara was in the same boat. Basically they're alright as long as you don't turn up the level too high & you like to fiddle with knobs? Perhaps there was something in Tone Print that would have made me appreciate it a little more but as I said I didn't really get too far into it.

That said, the sound quality of any pedal is a matter of personal preference! If you like it or better yet love it & it suits your needs then it is the perfect Reverb pedal for you!!! It doesn't matter if you spent $40 or $400, if it sounds good to your ears then it sounds good!!! Plus, there's a lot of people who use them almost exclusively so there has to be something to them right???

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

I felt that way when I tried the Boss RV-6. It just wasn't doing it for me. It was close on a few counts, but the HOF was more musical, and that was without the benefit of the editor. The HOF sounded less forced, more musical. It beat out the RV-6 and the EHX Cathedral that day.

I was using the CHURCH setting tonight and it is just crazy how good it is. I dialed in this killer clean tone with it and a Delay and It was like I was playing in a very large Church like building. The Reverb effect was outstanding and really inspired me to play.
I'm totally happy with this pedal, I don't really use the Toneprints as I like to dial in my own settings but they are fun to play around with.

Re: TC Electronic Hall of Fame with Tone Print.

If I wanted spring reverb, I'd turn the knob on my amp. I use pedals for over the top cavernous reverb.

Very cool man, I miss the days when I owned a Spring Reverb in my amp. I had a few Fender amps that just was incredible for Reverb.
I'm looking at the Mesa Boogie JP2C+ which has independent Reverb on all 3 channels. Pretty kill if you ask me. Another Bonus to that amp another reason I'm considering it.
My current amp has no Reverb, wish it did but this pedal will do fine. I got by with the Boss GT-100 prior to using the Hall of Fame. The GT-100 was fantastic at Reverbs as it was for all the built in effects it has.
