Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

over all, Ive heard good things about alot of Behringer stuff for the price point. Many companies own high end an low end brands. (Gibson/Epi) So, guessing TC will still be the high end. At least I hope they dont use the name to sell cheap gear.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

I didn't know behringer bought TC either. :kabong:

These might really be rehoused behringer circuits, which are mostly cloned from boss pedals.

Tc did have analog pedals line before though, they were fairly expensive & maybe made in Denmark, so they could have used those designs for some of these. Although I did check out the analog delay demo, the delay time seemed short like the boss analog clone behringer makes.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

TC stopped being high end when they entered the foot pedals market. In the 90s I couldn't find anyone using the SCF on their board, only Boss. Now everyone even bedroom guitarists use TCs.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

I'm willing to give them all a test drive. For $50 bucks why not? I recently switched over to TC pedals and I really like them. I ordered the anniversary Chorus Pedal and I can't wait to try it out.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

if you have not a chorus or other
try them !

the metal section seems to be very good

Are the mojo mojo (god, what a stupid name, it must sound cooler in Danish) and Dark Matter pedals digital??

My little Flashback mini is pretty impressive.

No, those are analog (and not new).

They are better than what people give them credit for imho but they're pretty standard.

Yeah I know the MM and DM are older, just with all this "now analog" talk, I thought the older drives may be digital.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

AND STILL NO G#%#%%#%#D TREMOLO.

:censored:

The vibrato looks interesting. Too bad the flanger looks to be based on the Boss BF-2. I was hoping for an electric mistress style one.

Vibrato changes pitch and Tremolo changes volume?

Does the Vibrato pedal have a pitch control, such that you can make it behave like a tremolo?

For that matter, is there a Phaser? I got very nice tremolo effects with my old BOSS 12-stage phaser. I could do No Quarter and Down By The Seaside with it easily, as well as Halo Of Flies. Never tried Rumble, though.

I like Behringer's midi pedal. I say, good for them. There really isn't a lot of pedals at this price. I am sure they will sell a ton. I wish they had pedals this cheap when I was collecting them.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

"These are all set to land on 21 October (November in the USA), available from dealers around the world and exclusively from Guitar Center in the USA - read on for the full story on TC's great pedal splurge of 2016, complete with video demos for each and every one…"

Disappointing. My local music store is a TC Electronic dealer and GC is another 5 miles or so down the road. Unless, I'm seriously misreading the article, I really do not like being locked into buying from GC if I want one of these pedals.

Ehehe since when??
In the 80's they made some reasonable stuff, everything they have made since got more and more cheap...
The Toneprint series is nowhere anything highend......Made the cheapest possible way somewhere in Asia...Like everything else more or less.

Anyways who's the guy responsible for those names???
Thunderstorm Flanger...Forcefield Comp....and so on...really :D
Those are Behringer pedals...I think some of the drives are TC's own thing...but it is extremely lowend like Joyo or alike!

There has not been much cutting edge nor high quality from these guys in decades.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

That is a great price.
When I worked for a music store a few years back that is the price TCE would let employees buy the TonePrint pedals for.

Ohhh, man... You're no fun. :dunno:

Who else is doing such extensive software editing for single-effect pedals? I don't get out much, but I thought the PC editor was pretty good. Even the (somewhat gimmicky) phone-pickup transfer is actually useful.

The library of TonePrint profiles, maybe. I haven't spent much time with them. That could probably go either way.

Re: Tc Electronic launches 13 new pedals for $50 each?!

With the possible exception of dirt (just because I have zero experience with their dirt pedals) I could have an All-TC board and be perfectly happy. I'm not a big brand loyalty guy, but their stuff has impressed me over and over.
