TC Electronic Skysurfer

Does anyone have experience with one of these?I just bought an amp that should be coming in next week but it doesn't have reverb. I don't need anything too fancy, just need a bit of reverb in the loop. The amp has a buffered effects loop with a level switch so any other suggestions in the same price range would be appreciated.

I’d pay up slightly and get a used TC Hall Of Fame Mini - perfect tool for what you’re wanting to do AND it has the toneprint flexibility built in (its modeling its fantastic).

HOF Mini makes a lot of sense if you’re going to connect it USB to a PC running the editor software, then just use the knob to control whichever parameter(s) you’ve set up. Once you decide what you want and configure the pedal accordingly, daily use is as simple as turning a reverb knob on an amp. You won’t have to think about the processing power and complexity under the hood, apart from when you’re setting it up.

hi NoOnesFang13,
A buddy tried a Skysurfer recently. Built like a big truck. Sound sorta meh but ok. I tend to agree that TC Electronics Hall of Fame is a better choice.

Buying this pedal, just to see what I think of it, is exactly something I would do. I might have run out of shelf space, but I have drawers and cabinets and boxes.

Re: TC Electronic Skysurfer

By all accounts I've read so far on the budget tc/behringer line they have unprecedented tones for that price range.
Having said that, I'd still do a standard Boss or TC ,,,, if ,,,,it's going to be your first and only unit of the particular effect.

It also depends to a degree just how much you're actually going to use it, as opposed to a set-and-forget home-play pedal.

I decided to go with the Hall of Fame Mini as it really wasn't much more money, I think it should work out thanks for the suggestions
