^^ A guy posted a thread about a guitar he was getting and never posted pics, so, as you'd expect from this forum, it turned into a 10+ page sh!t slinging fest. So 'to iceman' has entered the forum vocabulary to describe an act of posting an NGD thread or the like without posting pictures over a protracted period of time.
Anyway, Ace, I think Z has a reprieve, having been engaged in real life while everyone here has been bickering over trivialities .
Well, I have to admit, there probably won´t be too many WiP pics, as the body is 3/4 finished, all woodworking is done, frets are dressed... It´s really just headstock finishing, last bit of oil on the body, buff, setup, reveal.
It will probably only be a pic of the finished headstock followed a few days later by the finished guitar.. But I think THAT pic is gonna blow a few people´s minds.
And TBH I kind of regard this as the "SD BC Rich". A SD member had the uncompleted blank and sold it to me, at about the same time the Original Brobucker run was also running (and that pickup is still sitting here waiting to get dropped in), and finished by one of the few luthiers that have been here for 10 years+ (if even sometimes sporadically). So in a way, finishing this is kind of a combined SD Forum effort. :friday:
Well, it looks like it should be 14° on Wednesday, if that holds through the weekend maybe I can make actual progress. The morning after I taped up the head some ****tard with a Weather Dominator decided it would be a good idea to set the outside temperature to below freezing.
Which it turned out wasn´t so bad, because the can of clear I have expired 3 years ago, so I have to buy a new one anyway, and for that I need money.
Had I known all of this before, the logo would still be on it´s backing paper and I would have simply started the second stage of the oil job.
Oh well, it´s taken this long, that bit extra doesn´t matter.
