Heya

Im thinking of simplifying my home set up. What i would like to do is get a Guitar Rig 5 w/board and a Tech 21 Power Engine 60.

I think I already know the answer, but can the PE60 be played at resonable low home use levels?

Anyone run 1 of those and can give input?

I appricate any input.

I had one. It was good for amplifying a POD. The feel was not the same. Good option and if you like modeling stuff and are real used to using it you will like it. Very transparent to use with modeling stuff.

Re: Tech 21 PE60 questions

This is funny . . . I'm sitting here looking at the PE60 in another tab as we speak. I use a Johnson J-Station sometimes, and was thinking about one of those. Another option is what I already have - the Hughes & Kettner Edition Blue 60-R. (Not the DSP.) It's also 60-watt SS, and with a bonafide Celestion 12".

Works perfect for "home" levels. Either will do you well. The H&K is Vietnam built, and I believe the Tech 21 is American made.

Re: Tech 21 PE60 questions

I had a PE60 that I used as a gigging extension for a TM60, though I also used it at home with a Tri-AC. The PE60 is an excellent transparent powered speaker that works well at home/bedroom volume but can also produce enough volume for gigging. I only sold mine because I sold the TM60 and I also have a Roland Cube for practicing at home. Tech 21 stuff is great - really well made with lots of practical features, great value for money IMO. Go for it!
