Jolly called me the either night and asked my opinon on the Tech 21 SansAmp PARA DRIVER DI: Bass. And actually I don't use any effects as of right now but it might just change after watching this demo. Let me know what you all think, and thanks!

I recently had a shootout with this and the Tech 21 VT Bass. The paradriver is WONDERFUL and of course is a DI and I believe it can even be phantom powered as well. But its a great sounding and super useful pedal. IMO Every bassist should have one at least for a backup.

The VT Bass was also an exciting pedal to plug in, It totally NAILS that SVT sound. Great sounding pedal, and is incredibly versatile just like the paradriver.

For my purposes I wanted something I can use to record direct or play a gig without an amp if I wanted to and while the Paradriver has better features, I went with the VT for the sound, Whooooaaaa.

im contemplating the VT for recording. ive never been satisfied with my POD bass tones, i think the VT would be a good helping hand

I have a SansAmp Programable Bass Driver DI and I think it's great. Let's you have 3 save-able sounds that you can easily switch to. I don't really need that but I can see how it would be a nice feature.
