Tech 21 Sansamp

Looking for something I can play around on in a dorm room without compromising a lot of tone. Thinking about the Sansamp GT2 or maybe Paradriver, just wondered if ya'll had any experience with the line?

The GT-2 is a great little unit.:D In this day of Digital amp molders it still holds it's own IMHO. Got mine when they 1st came out in 91'.

GT-2 is a very good box. You can just use that and a good power amp to do a gig. Would you consider the TriAC pedal from Tech 21? I'm not sure if it has the same circuitry as the GT-2, but it allows you to have 3 presets and select one on the fly.

I think the SansAmp is good for playing through an amp or recording direct. I use mine to record (direct) my detuned Jackson 6-string for a bass guitar-like tone :chairfall ! At least, I think that's funny.

I used to own (and should have NEVER sold) a Tri-OD. It was absolutely killer, more than holds its own with the newest modeling stuff, and wasn't even as good as the GT-2!

Go for it.
