Re: Tech 21 U.S. Steel

Is it as metal as the name suggests?

Re: Tech 21 U.S. Steel

Just about. Grab your favorite solidbody with high-output pickups, add some palm-muted riffs and pinch harmonics, and it's a headbanging good time. It met the approval of a friend who was used to his 5150.

I wonder what it would sound like through a power stage 170 into a 4x12 with vintage Celestion 12M-70's.

I think we're all wondering that same thing.

Re: Tech 21 U.S. Steel

I would guess the PowerStage 170 was built for this sort of thing. I've heard the PowerStage 170 with the Palladium, and that was really incredible.

Re: Tech 21 U.S. Steel

I want to try the U.S. Steel (and the V-Twin) into a mixer and headphones.

In order to do that, though, I'd have to stop watching TV for a few minutes.

Re: Tech 21 U.S. Steel

OK - BRILLIANT IDEA!!!! Someone call Tech 21.

Those Fly Rigs are, well, pretty fly. But...limited. However, as I looked at the Cali - I saw the Brit above it. Here is what I'm thinkinging:

Take those and mode them so that they chain together in Parallel somehow. You could stack two, one behind the other with a little lift and have a KILLER four sound amp with two delays and two boosts!!!!!!

I'd make it all possible with a little modulation unit to clip them together!
