Tech21 Boost R.V.B

Anyone have much experience with this pedal? I'm looking for a good yet relatively inexpensive reverb and so far my top choices are the Tech21 Boost R.V.B., Digitech Hardwire Reverb, and the TC Electronic Nova Reverb. From the demos I've seen I think the Tech21 is what I'm most interested in but I'd love to get some feedback from anyone who's used it before.

Unfortunately the only one of the 3 pedals I've actually gotten to try is the Hardwire but that was at the local GC and therefore not a very good testing experience. It was pretty good and I don't think I'd be unhappy with it but I find the Tech21 to be a far more interesting pedal and all of the demos I've seen have been really good.

Any thoughts?

never owned the RVB but i played around with one for a while. I got the impression it was a very nice reverb pedal.

I use one. Its really 2 pedals in one. The reverb is awesome, It'll do pretty much anything. Then it's a clean boost at the same time. But, i like the feedback knob, you can turn everything down but the feedback controll, and you get a funny ambiance to your tone which is quite nice. I like it better than the holy grail. Price is a bit steep, but it's worth it.

I had one of these pedals - Sound was fine once you got it setup. I wanted something simple though and traded it out for the Boss Fender FRV-1 pedals. I found this pedal offered a nice sound that was easy to mix in so I've stayed with it.

Thanks for your input guys, I'm pretty tempted to get one. I just wish I could try one out in person first...however I'm pretty happy with my last music purchase that I was unable to try before buying. I love my little Blackstar HT-5 head. :)

These come up used for pretty decent prices, pretty good gamble, they are very well built and dependable, that way you can move it at little or no loss if you don't like it.
I bought a used one and I find it incredibly warm and ambient. I've had a Boss RV3 and a Fender stand alone unit. The Boss was nice but very digital and a little harsh after listening to it for a while. I found the Fender stand alone chopped some edge off my signal, sounded great, but not quite like the sensational built in reverb in vintage Fender amps to my ears. Mellowed the attack for sure.
I'm real happy with the Tech 21 and have had it for quite a while. For reference I ocassionaly use a boost/overdrive pedal and the Tech 21 into my amp.
