it's nice how you get the tele to crunch up a bit when you dig in

what amp, etc. did you use to record this one?

Thanks. I like to tweak my tones and look for new ones. I also like a lot of different styles and guitarists.

These pickups are supposed to have a "vintage growl" so, since I am coming for a Barden experience (very, very clear), I find them a bit "rumbly". I have been trying different pickup heights and they are begining to sound the way I want them.

This is recorded this with the Tele direct my Engl Screamer amp. I added a bit of delay and compression in the mix. The reverb is the amps reverb.

Man, that was sooooo sweet!!! The tone was just out of this world. The licks and phrasing just grabbed me. Very cool stuff. I'd like to hear more of this stuff.

yes, these pups are certainly more "vintage" than the Bardens I have been using. I need to get used to the extra "harmonic complexity".

Thanks for the BT, Marin. It's as awesome track to play to. I'll be using it plenty.

I've just listened to your piece again, Marin. It is superb. Just love that upward flurry at 2.14. There are things it that piece I've just got to 'make my own'.

I hope that others will post their efforts too.

How about another take from you, Marin? I can listen to this stuff all day long.

Thanks Lee,

I'll certainly could try another one. I've been tweaking the pickup heights and amp settings and I think I have a slightly smoother sound. I am trying to understand whether I like these pups before I sell the Bardens.
