tele bridge pickup on hardtail strat, or just go with a twangbanger?

Thinking of swapping my single humbucker pickguard out on my hardtail strat for something with a single coil in the bridge position. I've got a couple strat pickguards (SSS and SSH, w/ the humbucker in the neck position) that I got in some trade deals that I can use.

Thinking of something tele flavored and was leaning towards the Duncan Broadcaster pickup for the bridge position. the SSH pickguard already has the proper 3 screw hole pattern that I can use to mount a tele pickup.

Should I go with this approach, or should I get a Twangbanger for the bridge position? My strat has a swimming pool rout under the pickguard, so the benefit of the Twangbanger not requiring additional routing is moot.

i like the twangbanger a lot but i dont think it sounds all that tele like. even the broadcaster wont sound like a tele in your strat but itll be closer. the bridge has a lot to do with the tele bridge tone. i have an antiquity tele bridge pup that im going to put in a strat when i get around to making the pickguard

the bridge on this one is a hardtail with 3 steel tele saddles, so it gets me a little closer. Doesn't need to be exact, just beefier and twangier than the normal strat bridge pickup sound.

itll be closer by a little but the bridge pup being mounted on the bridge itself is a big part of the tele thing. its a fine idea though and i think youll like it. worked for lowell george!
