Tele bridge pup to match Pearly

Hi all.
I'm planning a new TeleGib style build, and working through my pup options, leaning towards a Seth Lover at the neck, and a Pearly Gates at the bridge.

Opinions and advice welcomed.

Welcome to the forum.

How much power do you require? Remember that a HH Telecaster is not going to have the outright mechanical sustain of a Gibson Les Paul nor the "dark" tone of mahogany.

Thanks for the welcome.

The tones that I use are mostly warm and bluesy, with a little crunch from my Boogie amp. I don't use a large amount of gain or distortion.

Re: Tele bridge pup to match Pearly

i think a pearly pair or a seth pair would be great!

Re: Tele bridge pup to match Pearly

Yeah the pearly sounds right up your alley. You could also try the whole lotta humbuckers a shot. They'll lend more warmth and sustain than the pgs will. What ever floats your boat.

Or you could do what Duncan himself did with his telegib and go JB/Jazz. But I think the JB might be overkill.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I'm going for the pearly pair this time around.

Your original plan for Seth neck/PG bridge sounds perfect. Those are my two favorite Duncan humbuckers.
