Re: Tele build is underway
The body was feeling pretty dry already (it's been super dry here the past few weeks, so not surprising) so I went over it with some 0000 steel wool and gave it a wipe down with lemon oil. It's nice and smooth to the touch now, and there's no blotchiness or dry spots that would tell me the wood has soaked up more oil and needs another coat.
So, I decided to drill a few holes for the pickguard, control plate, etc. I'll get it wired up sometime this week. I still need to drill holes for the P90 mounting screws, the jack plate, and the strap buttons. Once all of that is done and I have the pickups installed and tested, I'll take it to my tech to have the tuners & nut installed, and a final setup done.
