Could anyone who owns or has seen the standard tele in brown sunburst and arctic white give me advice on which looks nicer/has a better finish? i'm hung up on wut to choose. :smack:

Re: Tele colours?

The sunburst looks great, I'd take it in a heartbeat over a standard single color.

Thats why I did, heh.

It also makes the neck look lighter colored. With a white body, the neck will apear darker.

Re: Tele colours?

I had an Olympic White Tele at one point (my first six string), I loved the color. It's hard to beat a white Tele with a maple board!

Re: Tele colours?

Output jack and pickguard.

And if I wanted to be a nazi purist, i'd call ya on the 6 saddle bridge, but I wont.

Haha, you'll cry to think that I'm strongly considering building a 24.75 scale tele.

I have a 24.75 scale tele w/ 2 hums & a floyd. Take it! (well, not literally)

The Tele I'm building will be too...Esquire style with a P-90 in the bridge.
mmm, I'm thinking p90s in a tele too, how do you plan on fitting it with the pickguardand what bridge?

Sorry for jacking the thread.

Re: Tele colours?

I'm having an aluminum body made. It will have a Strat-style hardtail bridge. The guy makes a special mounting unit machined from a solid block of aluminum. The pickup mounts on to that, and the block mounts to the top of the body (like a regular pickup surround). The block extends in the body, which is hollow. The body will be made out of 1/16" thick aluminum with a frame built inside. Hopefully I explained that right.
