Re: Tele Day

I used to have a Nashville B-Bender Tele. I loved it. The pickups in the pic are Texas Specials in the neck and middle positions and a Jerry Donahue in the bridge. Don't ask me why I sold it. I wish I had it back :smack: . Here's a pic.

Re: Tele Day

Happy Tele Day, everyone. Sorry about the size.

That's my MIM Nashville, with Mini-HB/Strat pickguard from Warmouth. Original TexMex strat p/u in the middle, Duncans bridge and neck. The pic shows a QP bridge, but I've since changed it to a Vintage Tele.

By the way, if anyone wants to hear some really wack-job, non-country, B-bender playing, check out Greg Koch, especially "Zoiks" from his first CD, The Grip.

Sorry you sold your Bender :yell: It is kinda cool that I am the only one here with one, but I really don't think many people know how useful the b Bender can be for all styles of music!!!

Bro I must say thst you have some of the best looking Teles on this forum!!!!

Re: Tele Day

GAS attack, right now. There are some amazing Teles on there :saeek:
I wanted my first guitar to be a Tele but a stock MIM wouldn't have done it sound wise so I went the second hand Charvel way. But I think my second one may as well be one of these...
I'll get a MIM and gradually mod it I think. A hotrails in the bridge, a 5 way switch (humbucker bridge, single bridge, both, neck and single coil bridge, neck) with 500 K pots and then maybe a thinner warmoth neck or whatever Europe has to offer me...
Blue Agave or Midnight Wine though... That is the question.

One of the reasons I got rid of it was that I found myself really overplaying the bender. I got to where I was using the bender in my solos almost as I was using my regular playing techniques...

Re: Tele Day

Happy Tele Day indeed. It won't be Tele day later this week, but I will try to resize the pics so I can show her off.

I did not do this myself.
The body and neck are from ebay. They came together from a custom guitar wood shop. I couldn't pass em up - because they looked pretty cool.

The body has extensive screwdriver work on it. I think it was also bashed quite abundantly before the application of paint. Above the paint - the guitar is rubbed with oil. The neck is also rubbed with oil. Feels like bare wood to the hand.

If you look at the pictures you can see that the wood was bashed and dented before the application of paint. I think, some wood was taken off by chipping it off with sharp utensils.

I probably could dig up the name of the guy who ebayed this to me. BTW - both the body and the neck ran me 210 US.

That would be great if you could find his name-I might order something from him after I finish with everything else.
