Tele Hot Coil Tap

Is anybody using the tele hot (neck & Bridge) with a coil tap? If so, how do you feel about the output and tone when playing tapped? I have an old Tele project I need to finish and have a set of coil tapped hots in hand. I'm just wondering if it's worth the effort to do the wiring and switches to utilize the coil tap.

Just put the pups in, let the wires hang out of the cavity and use crocodile clips to connect them to the guitar cable. And then tell us what you hear…..
