Newbie here. I am looking to replace a stock neck pup in an american tele. I have a hot rails in the bridge and want a higher output neck pup to match. Any suggestions? The QP neck and rhythm hot are possibilies. Also are modifications needed to install a strat pup in the neck?

Depends on the Tele. I have a Strat HotRails in the neck of one that was factory routed for a humbucker and I enlarged the opening in the pickguard.
GFS Pickups have a Rail Style neck pup for Tele's that doesn't require any mods. I have one in my Kramer and it really does a good job.
