Tele Lead Antiquity ?'s

I know the polarity on my tele lead Antiquity ( the 55 one with the staggered pole pieces) has south polarity. So is this pu wound counterclockwise? I want to match it with a Fralin pu. Which way are Fralin's wound? Are they CW when they specify regular and CCW when they specify reverse wound? Thanks for any help!

There's no telling for sure. I mix Fralins and Duncan's alot and I often have to reverse the black and white wires on one pickup to get them in phase...but not always.

There's a 50/50 chance you'll get it right the first time...

Do you feel lucky? Well do ya punk???

(That was my worst Dirty Harry impression...fortunately you didn't have to listen to it! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: )

You might be able to get some indication by holding the poles of one pickup against the other and seeing if they attract or not. If they do attract, then one is reverse polarity relative to the other one.

Duncan's and Fralin's do mix beautifully once you get the phase issues worked out.

My buddy AJ uses a Fralin Steel Pole 43 with a Duncan SSL-1 neck and middle pickup. I did have to reverse the wires on the SP-43 to get it in phase.

I use a Fralin Tele stock neck pickup with a Duncan Jerry Donahue bridge pickup and did have to reverse the black and white wires on the Jerry Donahue...as well as move the ground wire on the bottem of the JD to the white wire.
