Which sounds better (ie, warm mids, great clarity overall) for clean tradition jazz guitar played on only the neck pickup of a Fender Telecaster?

Alnico Pro II or Vintage Stack?

Scs can sound good for jazz but hbs are where it's at. Especially the A2P.

I'd skip Tele neck pickups entirely, tbh. SM-1n's, PGN, and Phat Cats all do jazz in the neck of a tele better *and* have more clarity for pop/country/rock and other stuff.

I now have an A259 HB in my jazz tele but I’ve had the Tele A2 Pro and within Tele pickups it was very good IMHO

My thought is the Alnico II, but ideally, I'd put a Seth Lover or Alnico II Pro humbucker in there.
