Tele phase switch help, please

I’ve just installed a phase switch (per the SD schematic for tele’s) in a Tele with a SD ’54 lead PU and an SD Antiquity mini-humbucker. I have installed several phase switches before in Teles, Strats, PRS, etc with both single coils and humbuckers with good results. I’m big on star grounding and making guitars as silent as possible. But in this case, with the phase switch engaged, there is a buzz, like a ground loop, that gets louder with I touch the strings. I’ve rearranged the ground, lifted the lead PU brass plate, rewired the whole phase circuit backward with no improvement.
This one has me stumped. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

I got the same problem when I put phase in my Tele. Try making the neck pup the one that ets it's phased reversed. That did it for me!

I haven't looked at the Duncan diagram, but if it's the neck pickup that you're changing the phase on, you'd either need to remove the cover, or disconnect the cover from the ground connection of the pickup, and run a separate ground wire for the cover back to the control plate assy.

+1

you need to be sure that either of the pickups' covers are grounded separately from the 'audio portion' of the circuit
