Tele pickups out of phase??

Hi
I bought a cheap Tele-style and upgraded the pickups.
Individually they sound fine, but when I put the 3-way switch in the middle the volume drops drastically. My guess is that maybe I wired them out of phase, but there can't be a much more simple pickup wiring scheme than 2 single coils.
Can anyone advise please?
Thanks
Phil

Hi
I will post some when I get home.
I don't know the brand. The bridge is stock. The neck I got for about 15 bucks on Ebay. Impressively warm pickup though.
Thanks
Phil

if they are different brands, it could easily be they are out of phase. with tele pups, youll need to isolate the ground on one pup and flip the wires.

Hi Guys
Pics are attached. Bout the best I can do.
How do I isolate the ground please?
Thanks
Phil

Its on the pickup, not the wiring.
There will be a wire going to the baseplate from one of the hookup wires. This needs to be attached to the other hookup wire.

I just made a standalone ground wire when I switched mine.

thats what ive always done as well, isolate the ground wire for cover or base plate

Hi
So, if there is a black wire and a red wire from the neck pickup and I assumed black was ground I should try red as the ground?
Sorry for being a noob. First time doing anything like this.
