Tele Project, need help on pickups!!!

Well first off, it's not your typical Tele. I snatched this off Ebay!

It's a Kramer Classic II body and I'm clueless about what kind of pickups I want to put in it. Most of the guitars I have, are all the "in your face" type setups. So I'm thinking I really want to get this close to Tele sounding as possible. I know I won't be able to get it all the way with the Floyd, but I'm going to try Darn it!

Show me the way, but don't break my piggy bank.

BTW, I'm open to about anything but DMZ pickups!

Re: Tele Project, need help on pickups!!!

well with a bucker in the bridge i dont think youll get tele but...

if you but a patb-3 blues trembucker or pearly gates in the bridge with a pair of antiquity surfers in the neck and middle you will have a very cool vibey axe that is way more clean and clear than a high output setup.

Sounds great guys! But I don't have $250 to lay down for pickups :smack:

Anything cheaper that would fall in those lines? I got about $150-60 for pickups.

What about a phat cat in the bridge?
