Need a little help. I have a highway 1 tele with alder body maple neck/fretboard. I want to know if the str-2 rhythm and the little 59 tele bridge pickups would be a good match for classic/hard rock. Do I need to change pots and would a 4 way switch help any.
Need a little help. I have a highway 1 tele with alder body maple neck/fretboard. I want to know if the str-2 rhythm and the little 59 tele bridge pickups would be a good match for classic/hard rock. Do I need to change pots and would a 4 way switch help any.
I know little about the Hot Rhytem Stack, I have tried the Lil 59 several times and while it doesn't sound like a Tele it is a good sound. I would change the pots to 500k if it were me. The 4 way switch is up to you...it is often used to get a fourth sound in a Telecaster, the 4th tone is pretty thick sounding, Im not sure you would want to get that tone with pickups that are already much thicker that stock Tele pickups.
