Tele Replacement Pickup Question

Among the moderate output lead pickups for the tele, which ones are best voiced for hard rock and punk (but not motorhead!), especially with distortion? i know the high output pups fill the bill, but am looking for a lower output alternative.

choices are (i think):

broadcaster
five-two
vintage stack

any advice would be appreciated.

Boy...tough call!

I think I'd recommend the Tapped Tele Hot over any of those.

It'll give you both vintage and high output...for what you're after, the choice would be a real plus, IMO.

And you can do it all with a 5 way switch.

big +1. It's what I have and it works for pretty much any music with the right switching.

Yep! I have a Tapped Tele Hot in my favorite Strat (It's routed for a bridge humbucker and a Tele pickup fits fine), along with a pair of Ant Surfers. I was just comparing that guitar to my Tele with the Bardens and my Tele with the Jerry Donahue. The Tapped Tele Hot hung right in there with the Bardens...
