Tele switch mod question

Does anyone know if the 4 position switch has a longer throw than the 3 position switch?
Will the original control plate work?

Sometimes the switch knob collides with the pot knob and prevents a full throw of the switch. Some folks thought their switch was faulty. That happens when the pot hole is too near to the switch slot.

I bought a control plate with an angled switch slot so hopefully that will be prevented. If not, there is another company (forgot who) that sells a plate with the knobs moved back 3/8" leaving more room.
