Tele Vintage Broadcaster Question

Just received the SD Vintage Broadcaster set for my thinline project.

I'm using a 4-way switch.

It's been my understanding that with a 4-way switch I need to separate the lipstick cover ground from the pickup coil ground, and separately ground the lipstick cover.

That's fine.

But...

The bridge pickup has a brass (?) baseplate, and that is grounded to the pickup coil ground also.

So the question is do I also need to separate that ground, and also ground it separately?

You should only need to separate the ground on the one pickup that you are going to lift the ground to run in series.

Probably goes without saying, but be sure and make the "grounded-cover" pup the one that's on the ground side of the series connection.

^ I went ahead and grounded both the neck lipstick cover and bridge baseplate separately anyway. Won't do any harm, just a longer, parallel, wire from the baseplate to the same pot casing.
