Telecaster bridge real humbucker (heavy sound+downtuning)

Hello, I want to put a bridge humbucker (a real one) in a telecaster alder body/rosewood neck.
I play mainly heavy rock, stoner, punk, old school metal. So big fat crunch or medium high gain sounds.
I play in a duo drums/guitar, so I need a full sound (no bass), but I'd like to keep the sensation of a strong attack
I used to manage with single coils, mini HB, p90 single coil size, but I get rid with the ice picky attack, trebles, and tiny sounding when palmuting.
I'm tuned in C#, and drop B.
So which humbucker can I choose ?

I'd check out either the Custom, which has sort of a PAF scoopy thing going on (but a lot louder), or an Alternative 8, which has more mids, more output, and seems to take up a huge amount of sonic space.

A JB or Perpetual Burn might be what you are looking for. The Perpetual Burn if you intend to use 500k pots and the JB for 250k pots. Those are pretty much two different flavors of the same pup, and both very versatile in my opinion. The PB is essentially the JB without the nasally upper mid hump.

Ok, thanks, I will check this models.
A priori I'd rather go for the Custom or Perpetual Burn cause I'm not searching for mid hump (or that kind of mid-boost sound you can have when boosting an amp with a SD1 for exemple)
Another thoughts ?

So I end up with a sh11, but I'm not totally happy with it.
It's warm and with no ear bleeding highs, which is a good thing but it lacks agressivity (too rounded) for my style of music, and it's not very tight in the bass department (although it's big which is a good thing, the problem is that the bass is a little flubby and undefinded in the attack).
So my question is: does a custom 8 would do the trick for me? I could swap the A2 for an A8

I was about to suggest an A8 halfway through reading your post. Yes, I do think it would be what you're looking for.

But also try a ceramic, and maybe even an A5. They are cheap, so it is worth trying out, as they will completely change the EQ of the wind.

If you like that level of output, but want a bit 'more', the parallel axis series (the '1' is about Custom level of output) is a good bet. It tends to be clearer/less cluttered than other pickups of the same output, and hold together really well under higher gain. Same goes for the clean tone......a bit less cluttered.

If Custom and magnets fail you, you can't go wrong with Invader for playing those music with a tele.

Eventually I've put shorter screws with hex poles and it adds some tightness in the bass (not drastic but perceptible, ok for my style) and it sounds also a little brighter, wich is good things when tuning in B
Keeps pickup character and improve it, I'm satisfied (for the moment!)
